Sunset from Mid River

When the tides in the River Mersey are low, sandbanks are revealed mid-river. Legend has it that it is possible to walk from Eastham to Speke at low tide, but the Drone lets us get this unique perspective of the wide vastness of the Mersey Estuary without getting our feet wet!

Slate Cottages at Llyn Cwmorthin

The unique overhead perspective that the drone gives can be invaluable for aerial survey and mapping purposes. In this image, the ruins of abandoned slate miners cottages at Llyn Cwmorthin in North wales can be seen.

The Silver Jubilee Bridge

Built in 1956, the Silver Jubilee Bridge (known locally as the Runcorn Bridge) quickly became a vital link between Lancashire and Cheshire. Its success led to frequent congestion, so in 2017 a replacement bridge, The Mersey Gateway was opened. The Runcorn Bridge is currently undergoing refurbishment work, and will soon reopen for local traffic.
